UofT’s 2017 Traffic Bowl Team members Ran Tu, Christos Stogios and Catalina Parada participated in a Traffic Bowl Trivia Night hosted by UT-ITE on July 6, 2017.
A practise competition for teams heading to the Canadian district championships on July 30th, circumstances for the Trivia Night competition were as similar as possible to the real thing.
Teams from Mohawk College, Ryerson University and McMaster University also took part in the valuable practise event.
The Traffic Bowl is a competition, started in 2010, among ITE student chapters, similar to the TV game show Jeopardy, but with transportation planning and engineering topics for the clues, questions, and answers. Teams have three members and an alternate.
The objectives of the Traffic Bowl are:
- to encourage students to become more active members in ITE
- to enhance students’ knowledge of the traffic/transportation engineering and planning profession, and of ITE itself, and
- to strengthen the programs of the ITE student chapters.
