Greg Evans

Selected Professional Appointments

Professor, Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry, University of Toronto
Director, Southern Ontario Centre for Atmospheric Aerosol Research

head shotGreg Evans directs a multidisciplinary centre that is investigating how air pollution impacts environment, climate and human health. His research uses advanced instrumentation and modelling to understanding spatial and temporal trends in the concentration, composition and origins of air pollution. The goal is to make key connections between emissions of pollutants, the quality and composition of urban air, and the impacts on human health and the environment. He has done extensive research on transportation related emissions and the resulting exposure of urban populations.  Greg also offers expertise in engineering education and is the Director of the Institute for Studies in Transdisciplinary Engineering Education and Practice (ISTEP).

Specialty Focus Area

Traffic-related air pollution.
