The Smart Freight Centre presents its 2nd annual Smart Freight Symposium, hosted by the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University.
Building on the success of last year’s symposium, the Smart Freight Symposium 2020 will again feature speakers from government and universities as well as industry leaders and non-profits, who will share the latest about sustainable urban and regional freight innovation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. This year there will be a second session devoted to academic research presentations.

Friday, November 20, 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon – Industry Session
University researchers, government officials, industry and non-profit leaders will speak about the challenges faced and the steps being taken to facilitate urban goods movement.
Friday, November 27, 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon – Academic Session
Academic research on last-mile delivery with autonomous vehicles, walkers, cargo bicycles and crowd shipping; interactions between commercial vehicles and vulnerable road users; fleet platooning and greening freight movements – and more.
