Professor Amer Shalaby travelled to London, Ontario February 21 to take part in an expert panel presenting to the Rapid Transit Implementation Working Group.

He was joined by Barrie Kirk, head of an autonomous vehicle consulting firm, and Edwin Olson, CEO of a startup that’s piloting driverless shuttles in four U.S. cities.

In the meeting, the three panel members delivered presentations to city councillors and London Transit commissioners and answered their questions about the potential of autonomous vehicles and ridesharing services in fulfilling the mobility needs of the City of London.
