UTTRI associated faculty Professor André Sorensen was interviewed on CBC radio today about road safety in Scarborough.

He is the lead author of the report The Scarborough Opportunity: A Comprehensive Walking and Cycling Network launched last week, and says there is a lot of support in Scarborough for Vision Zero initiatives and active transportation infrastructure. One of the reasons the report was written, he says, is to draw attention to the need to create larger scale networks for walking and cycling, particularly in suburban areas.

Listen to the interview “What can be done to make Scarborough roads safer?” Metro Morning with Ismaila Alfa, October 21, 2021.
