UTTRI hosted a closed workshop for 50 participants on June 27 entitled “Transportation & E-Commerce: Opportunities & Challenges.” Director Eric J. Miller provided welcome remarks. The day’s objectives included: understanding the e-commerce supply chain and logistics across various levels (national, regional, and local); assessing the impacts of e-commerce on overall transportation network, and; linking the knowledge gained through the Forum to further scope the three pillars of e-commerce, policies, infrastructure, and data.
