Kianoush Mousavi joined the University of Toronto Transportation Research Institute as Events and Communications Assistant in September 2018. Kianoush is doing his PhD in transportation planning under the supervision of Professor Matthew Roorda at the University of Toronto. He did his MSc in transportation planning in Iran at the Sharif University of Technology.
Kianoush’s main area of focus is on the application of mathematical programming in transportation problems. He is currently doing research on crowd-shipping for improving last-mile delivery in urban freight networks and participating in the off-peak delivery project for the Region of Peel. Kianoush has done research on vehicle routing problems and non-linear congestion pricing on large scale networks.
