Dr. David A. Wolfe is Professor of Political Science at the University of Toronto Mississauga and Co-Director of the Innovation Policy Lab at the Munk School of Global Affairs. He has been Principal Investigator on two Major Collaborative Research Initiatives funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Dr. Wolfe has published extensively on cluster dynamics and related knowledge-based economic development. Dr. Wolfe was the CIBC Scholar-in-Residence at the Conference Board of Canada in 2008-2009 and published 21st Century Cities in Canada: The Geography of Innovation in that capacity. His most recent book, co-edited with Meric Gertler, is Growing Urban Economies: Innovation, Creativity and Governance in Canadian City-Regions. He recently concluded a six-year SSHRC-funded partnership project on Creating Digital Opportunity: Canada’s ICT Industry in Global Perspective. He also served as a member of the Council of Canadian Academies Expert Panel on Connected and Autonomous Vehicles and Share Mobility that produced the report, Choosing Canada’s Automotive Future (Ottawa: 2021).
