Founded in 1988, the Data Management Group (DMG) provides travel behaviour data collection, management and analysis services to provincial and municipal transportation planning agencies in the Greater Toronto-Hamilton Area (GTHA).

DMG is funded by and reports to the Transportation Information Steering Committee (TISC), which is chaired by the Ontario Ministry of Transportation.

In particular, DMG maintains and provides access to two major databases: the Transportation Tomorrow Survey (TTS) series of household travel surveys for the region and the regional Cordon Count database.  Routine queries of these databases may be made via web-based tools provided by DMG, while more detailed special tabulations can be provided by DMG staff upon request.

DMG provides data to government agencies, private sector partners working for government and university researchers in support of a wide variety of travel behaviour analyses and modelling activities.
