On June 24 and 25, 2021, the Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering launches Engineering Research Days, a new virtual event bringing together the research community and creating opportunities for collaboration.
This year’s theme “Empowering Innovation” highlights U of T Engineering’s research accomplishments and spotlights opportunities for collaboration across faculty, external partners, industry representatives and the broader U of T community. Both the program and platform, SpatialChat, are designed to foster and encourage interaction in an engaging and collaborative environment.
The event is open to all. See full program details and register at Empowering Innovation 2021.
The program will feature:
Join UTTRI associates for the panel session “Urban Engineering & Innovative Mobility: Equity, Environment, Engagement” on Friday, June 25, 12:45-1:45 p.m.
The transportation system contributes to the growth and evolution of urban regions and enables personal mobility, which is fundamental to every aspect of modern society. It also results in significant energy and resource consumption, pollution, social, and economic inequities, and climate-changing carbon emissions.
This panel from the Department of Civil & Mineral Engineering will discuss the profound importance and impact of transportation systems and how they must evolve to accommodate equitable and sustainable growth.
The panel will feature co-chairs Professors Eric Miller (co-chair), Tamer El-Diraby (co-chair), Marianne Hatzopoulou and Shoshanna Saxe. Dr. Judy Farvolden will moderate.
Drop by to see poster sessions! Posters featuring research projects and groups involving UTTRI-associated engineering faculty and leadership are listed by date below.
