UTTRI associated faculty Professor Marianne Hatzopoulou, Canada Research Chair in Transportation and Air Quality, is one of eight speakers taking part in the “Electrification of Public Transport” session of the “Virtual Roadshow on Electrification of Transport” on November 9,  10:00 am – 12:00 pm (EST). Register now to attend this free roundtable and learn more about electrically powered public transport, its prerequisites, obstacles in implementation and future developments in Canada, the USA & Germany. The roundtable will include three break-out sessions:

  • Electrification of transport – One fit for all?
  • Challenges and opportunities for the implementation of electric public transport systems in cities
  • Electrification and automation – Solutions for the last mile?

The event is the first of two “stops” on the virtual roadshow. The Electrification of Private Transport, November 11, 10:00am – 12:00pm (EST), will address best practices of policies and roadmaps in Germany and North America, emerging e-mobility technologies, and the challenges and opportunities in the transition to zero-emission transportation.
