The 3rd annual Smart Freight Symposium presented by the Smart Freight Centre was hosted on Zoom by the DeGroote School of Business at McMaster University on the mornings of November 19 and 26, 2021.

The two-day event attracted more than 150 guests from government, NGOs, universities, industry and non-profits, and featured thirty-eight speakers and moderators.

Twelve students participated in the symposium’s first Student Presentation Competition, vying for the Best Student Presentation Award and a cash prize of $1,000 made possible by the generous support of Kinaxis Canada. The award went to visiting PhD student Yanling Zhuang of McMaster University for her presentation “Rack repositioning and robot assignment in robotic mobile fulfillment systems.”

The symposium agenda, presentation files and video recordings are available on the Smart Freight Centre website.
