UTTRI associated faculty Professor Richard Florida was interviewed for a  Q&A in “Urbanist discusses the pitfalls, possibilities for Toronto: The city will change and leaders need to be ready to help it adapt – or else” in the Toronto Star, April 22, 2020.

In response to a series of questions about his expectations for Toronto post-lockdown, Florida discusses the real estate market, creative industries, and Toronto’s increased awareness of existing inequities.

In terms of any positive effect from COVID-19 on Toronto, he sees an opportunity to “get many more people biking and walking.”
