The Transportation Research Board recently selected the paper “Using Mass Motion to Analyze Crowd Congestion and Mitigation Measures at Interchange Subway Stations: Case of Bloor-Yonge Station in Toronto, Canada” as the winner of the William W. Millar Award. This award is given each year for the best paper in the area of public transportation.
The authors of the paper are Civil Engineering Professor Amer Shalaby and his students Siva Srikukenthiran and David King.
The Certificate of Award will be presented at the Thomas B. Deen Distinguished Lecture and TRB Awards Ceremony scheduled, in Washington, D.C., during the TRB 94th Annual Meeting, January 11-15, 2015.
