Bus rapid transit debate in London

The threat of rising property taxes is casting a shadow on transit improvements proposed in the City of London, as reported March 23 in “Cost of some transit projects on London list may land more heavily on city taxpayers,” London Free Press.

Professor Amer Shalaby commented on the bus rapid transit (BRT) debate in particular, saying “choosing smaller projects over the full 24-kilometre BRT network will undoubtedly cost less overall, but may also bring fewer benefits.”
