Congratulations to UTTRI associated faculty Professor Baher Abdulhai, who has been awarded the 2021 Ontario Professional Engineers Awards (OPEA) Engineering Medal for Engineering Excellence.
The Engineering Medal honours those PEO licence holders who have contributed substantially to advancing the engineering profession, and recognizes excellence in the practice of engineering, where the innovative application of engineering knowledge and principles has solved a unique problem, led to advanced products, or produced above-average results.
Presented jointly by Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE), the Ontario Professional Engineers Awards celebrate engineering excellence and the contributions of the engineering profession to society.
Professor Abdulhai’s nomination was approved by PEO Council and the OSPE Board of Directors, following a recommendation by the Professional Engineers Awards Committee.
