Professor Baher Abdulhai travelled to Huawei’s headquarters in Shenzhen, China, this past week, invited as a keynote to the Huawei Strategy & Technology Workshop May 15-16. Hundreds of Huawei’s most senior technologists and invited external experts participate in the annual event.
The workshop focuses on major industry trends and technology directions. Professor Abdulhai gave a talk on state-of-the-art research on traffic control and intelligent transportation entitled “Select Advances in Artificial Intelligence Based Traffic Control and Management for Smart Cities.” He also participated in a panel called “Overall Technology and Opportunity Exploration Facing to Video Industry” moderated by Jinshui Liu, Principal Engineer, Silicon Valley Computing Lab, North American Research Laboratories.
