The article discusses Canadian income inequality, lack of affordable housing, and transit needs, and how COVID-19 stimulus funding through the “Government of Canada COVID-19 Economic Response Plan” could fund solutions.

Stimulus spending can have long-term impacts if it protects workers, allows tenants the right to remain in their units and invests in new public transit lines that make cities more sustainable.
