UTTRI associated faculty Professor André Sorensen presented a deputation to the City of Toronto Infrastructure and Environment Committee on action item IE25.20 “Scarborough Cycling Report” at their meeting October 26, 2021.
Professor Sorensen told the committee that the recent Scarborough Opportunity Report, which he co-authored, is primarily intended to contribute to a more engaged conversation about long-term planning to build active transportation infrastructure and a safe, multimodal transportation system in Scarborough. “Scarborough presents a major opportunity to create a world-class active transportation network and a more liveable city,” he said.
