UTTRI associated faculty in Mumbai for Symposium on Transforming Urban Livability

UTTRI associated professors Baher Abdulhai, Mark Fox and Amer Shalaby were in Mumbai, India on March 6 to participate in panels at the Symposium on Transforming Urban Livability.

The one-day event was co-sponsored by University of Toronto, Tata Trusts and Social Alpha.

President Meric Gertler was the keynote speaker. At the conference, Social Alpha, a branch of Tata Trusts, launched a “Quest for Urban Livability”, a seed funding challenge for innovators and entrepreneurs working to solve urbanization issues.

President Gertler led the U of T delegation to India to deepen collaborative opportunities with academic and corporate partners and to meet with alumni and prospective students.
